Biography:

H.E.R.B.I.E., which stands for Humanoid Experimental Robot, B-type, Integrated Electronics, is a fictional robot character associated with Marvel's Fantastic Four. H.E.R.B.I.E. first appeared in the 1978 *Fantastic Four* animated TV show "The New Fantastic Four".

Created to replace the Human Torch in the cartoon (due to rights issues), H.E.R.B.I.E. was designed by Reed Richards and Dr. Franklin Storm, Susan Storm's father. Despite his small size, H.E.R.B.I.E. possessed surprising abilities, including flight, energy blasts, and holographic projection.

He also acted as a valuable source of information and analysis for the Fantastic Four. Although not initially well-received by comic fans due to his replacement of the Human Torch, H.E.R.B.I.E. has become a recurring character in various Fantastic Four media.
